Azar Nafisi's memoir
Reading Lolita in Tehran is about life of women in Iran after the Islamic revolution of 1978-1979 and about literature. There is as much indignation in her attitude to the hypoctitical regime as there's much passion and love towards the books she teaches and reads.
Here is my reading list inspired by this book. I'm acquainted with Austen's and Fitzgerald's works but it'll be a pleasure to reread them.
